Short-Term Training Programs Power America’s Workforce.

Now They Have a Dedicated Accreditor.

Noncredit and non-degree programs enroll millions of Americans every year — in institutions of higher education, community colleges, workforce development centers, and industry training providers. These programs are where real economic mobility happens.

Until now, they’ve operated without a programmatic accreditor purpose-built for their needs:

  • A scope gap, not a failure. Institutional accreditors were designed to accredit institutions, and specialized accreditors have predominantly focused on degree programs – a rigorous and essential system, but one whose scope was never intended to cover the fast-moving, employer-driven noncredit sector.
  • A technology gap. Most noncredit programs are organizationally distinct from the academic side of their institutions — and typically don’t have access to the learning management systems, student information systems, or compliance infrastructure that credit-bearing programs rely on.
  • A credibility gap. Without programmatic accreditation or verifiable outcome data, these programs have faced unnecessary barriers to workforce funding, employer partnerships, and the recognition they’ve earned.

NAC was founded to close all three gaps by building the dedicated infrastructure this sector has always deserved.

Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Infrastructure Today

NAC operates a national, AI-powered compliance verification system that automates compliance, translates learning into skills, and connects workforce programs directly to employment outcomes.

Through the Accreditation Information Hub (AIHub), we replace static, manual reviews with continuous, data-driven accountability across six core functions that together form the operating system for skills-based workforce education:

  • AI-Powered Compliance Engine – Automating program review and accreditation workflows in real time—replacing months of manual documentation with intelligent verification while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
  • Evidence-Based Verification – Moving beyond self-attestation by integrating directly with state administrative and employment data to verify completion, placement, and earnings outcomes.
  • Skills-First Accreditation Model – Translating academic and workforce curricula into verified, employer-relevant skills—creating the nation’s first AI-enabled accreditation framework centered on competencies, not seat time.
  • Real-Time Outcome Tracking – Partnering with States and Data Aggregators to securely access real-time employment and wage data nationwide, enabling unprecedented transparency and accountability
  • Braided Funding Optimization – Automating compliance and eligibility verification across federal and state workforce funding streams—ensuring funds are aligned to outcomes, spent once, and auditable in real time.
  • Scalable Quality Assurance – Delivering a tiered, replicable framework that allows states to adopt components or the full system—reducing administrative burden from months to minutes while preserving program integrity.

Reduce the $27B Spend

Discover how NAC’s AIHub streamlines compliance while preserving rigorous standards
Institutions and training providers devote significant resources to fragmented and duplicative reporting processes. NAC’s approach enables more consistent, data-informed evaluation—reducing administrative burden and allowing greater focus on program quality, workforce alignment, and learner outcomes.

Expert Oversight

Why expert review, supported by technology, strengthens program evaluation
Program evaluation requires both careful judgment and consistent analysis. NAC’s AIHub supports expert reviewers by organizing evidence, enhancing consistency, and reducing administrative burden—while preserving the nuanced, standards-based evaluation that complex programs require.

An Intelligent System

Supporting alignment with evolving standards and workforce needs
NAC’s AIHub helps institutions stay aligned with changing state and federal requirements, as well as emerging labor market trends. By providing timely updates and structured guidance, the platform supports proactive program review—reducing the risk of compliance gaps while maintaining institutional control and oversight.

Platform Assessment

How a unified approach supports more coordinated and timely evaluation
NAC’s AIHub brings program review into a single, integrated environment—supporting consistent evaluation across compliance and effectiveness measures. By reducing fragmentation across systems and processes, NAC enables a more coordinated, efficient approach while maintaining the rigor and independence essential to accreditation.

Data-Driven

Moving beyond self-attestation toward evidence-based program verification
While self-reported data remains an important component of evaluation, NAC strengthens the process through structured, evidence-based verification. By incorporating validated outcomes and external data sources where appropriate, the approach supports greater transparency, consistency, and confidence in program quality.

AI-Native Infrastructure

Applying advanced technology to support more effective program evaluation
NAC’s AIHub integrates structured, data-informed analysis into the evaluation process—supporting consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement. By reducing administrative burden and strengthening the use of evidence, the platform helps institutions focus more directly on program quality and learner outcomes.

Our Process

01
Application for Accreditation
Candidates submit an application and fee via the AiHub, including supporting documentation for all training sites.

02
Accreditation Workshop
Applicants must attend a workshop before the application is accepted. The workshop provides an in-depth understanding of the NAC accreditation process.

03
Program Evaluation Report (PER)
After the application is accepted, NAC provides a schedule for submitting the PER for the main campus and any additional sites.

04
Peer Evaluation Team Visit
A peer evaluation team reviews the PER and conducts an online or onsite visit.

05
Team Report
The report is drafted during the visit, and observations are discussed until a consensus is reached on each NAC standard.

06
Commission Action
All relevant documents and information are made available to the Commission for deliberation and action.

07
Notice of Commission Action
The program is notified in writing within 30 days of the NAC’s action regarding their accreditation status.
